Many years ago (around 1995), when I was taking my first steps in the world of professional photography, I had to take a huge loan to buy a set of two lenses, a flash and one semi-professional body. I bought equipment from another photographer who, to put it mildly, did a good deal.
After years of working in this profession, I can safely say that it is a miracle that I’m still a photographer. In Poland, where I live, artistic photography is considered a second-class art.
Understanding the dilemmas of young photo artist, I decided to create this competition to support them by enabling them to win equipment, offer participation in the post-competition exhibition and give them the opportunity to show themselves to a wider audience.
I hope that thanks to this I will be able to keep up the heat of photographic passion in many people. I have a plan to create a foundation which main goal is to support young photo artists from around the world.
