CAN A UNDERAGE PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION?
No, all applicants must be over 18 years of age.
HOW MUCH CAN I SUBMIT PHOTOS FOR A COMPETITION?
You can send us one photo via SINGLE APPLICATION or several, but not more than 5 using the MULTI APPLICATION.
ARE THE FEES CHARGED FOR SUBMISSION OF PHOTOS FOR THE COMPETITION?
Yes, but for the SINGLE APPLICATION we charge a fee of $ 10, $ 15 or $ 20 depending on the date when the application will be received. The fee for submitting more MULTI APPLICATION images is $ 15, $ 20 or $ 25 and the amount depends also on the time of submission. You can find out about the deadlines in the section below.

CAN I SEND MORE THAN ONE APPLICATION?
Yes, if you want, you can send more than one application.
CAN I SEND PICTURES TAKEN WITH A PHONE?
Yes you can.
CAN I SEND PICTURES MADE BY ANALOGUE CAMERA?
Yes, you can but only in the form of digital scans sent via our application forms.
HOW LARGE FILES CAN I SEND?
Our application forms are adapted to accept photos not larger than 2MB. The required minimum dimension of the short side of the photo is 1000 pixels.
WHAT TYPES OF FILES CAN I SEND?
Files should be sent in JPG format.
HOW CAN I PAY MY APPLICATION FOR THE COMPETITION?
All submissions are handled by PayPal. Thanks to this, you can pay your application by credit card or funds accumulated on your PayPal account.
COMPETITION PROCEDURE
WHEN AND WHERE WILL THE COMPETITION RESULTS BE ANNOUNCED?
The results of HORNET PHOTO AWARDS 2020 will be announced on 20.12.2020. on our website and our Instagram and Facebook profiles. In addition, we’ll send individual notifications via email to all finalists.
CAN A WINNER OF A CATEGORY OR A A DISTINCTED PERSON GET A GRAND PRIX?
No, the winners of individual competition categories, or the distinguished persons, cannot be honored with the PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR title, and they can’t win the HORNET PHOTO AWARDS 2020 Grand Prix.

No, you can only win in one category.

HOW WILL THE AWARDS BE BROUGHT?
The prizes will be handed in person during the opening of the post-competition exhibition or in the form of a courier service in the absence of the awarded person during the said ceremony.
INSTEAD OF PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT CAN I RECEIVE CASH?
No, both the Grand Prix winner and category winners will be able to choose photographic equipment with market equivalent amounts guaranteed in the prize pool.
WHAT WILL I AFFECT THE CHOICE OF PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT?
You will have full influence on what equipment will reach you. Remember, however, that if you win the Grand Prix, the value of the chosen set cannot exceed $5000. And if you win in one of the categories, the selected equipment can not be more than $500.
